Cloud Managed Services Provider, Securus Voice Services has launched a new offer designed to help GM Chamber Members to support their staff as they work from home.
Based on the new Yealink T54W wi-fi enabled handset, the offer provides all the technology a user would need to be an integrated part of the business but whilst working remotely.
“We have seen a huge increase in demand for our cloud-based telephone system since the pandemic started as customers look at ways they can still operate effectively with a remote and dispersed workforce,” explains Stephen Dykes, Sales & Marketing Director for Securus Voice Services Limited. “The technology exists to make it not only possible, but easy to work from home so we have put together this bundle to make it more cost effective too.”
The offer, limited to a small number of Greater Manchester Chamber members, provides each user with a user licence, access to the mobile and desktop app software, and a choice of either a free upgrade to the Yealink T54W wi-fi enabled handset or 3-months free use of the service.
“The problem with most homes as a working environment is that they are geared to make use of wi-fi, whereas deskphones are typically hardwired into the network,” continues Stephen. “However, the inbuilt wi-fi capabilities of the new Yealink T54W means that users can easily connect to the network from most rooms in their home.”
Whilst traditionally most users have preferred to have a deskphone, improvements in the technology aligned with users greater need for flexibility has seen more and more people look to software to provide their phone endpoint experience.
“Before the pandemic, most customers were opting for a physical deskphone for their users in the office but with full-featured and reliable software alternatives we are seeing a shift in user habits,” Stephen explained. “Our software allows users to turn their mobile device or laptop into their extension which removes the need to plug in a physical deskphone at all. Just switch on the device and you have all the features you’d expect from being in the office plus a few more. This has meant that more and more customers are moving away from physical deskphones and opting for the freedom of our software. If you want a feature rich, reliable and flexible remote working solution, as the saying goes, there’s an app for that.”
The offer has limited availability and runs until the end of December and is available exclusively for GM Chamber members. “We see business communities such as the GM chamber as being vital to local businesses and we wanted to do our bit to help our neighbours adapt in what is proving to be very trying times,” concluded Stephen. “We have the technology to enable businesses to continue serving their customers and we want to help as many members as we can deploy that technology.”
